Hi there ๐,
Last week I updated my page title checker script to also include meta descriptions, as we know Google has been changing them for some time. After several tests, it's very interesting to see how much they change (and how often).
In this issue, I also link to another useful tool to check your page titles - a bookmarklet created by Christian Hรคnsel. And the Keyword Surfer Chrome extension has also been recently updated to provide this information (as well as search volume in search results, if you don't use it).
My Post of the Week is not title-tag related, but a super interesting case study from Glenn Gabe on the affects of changing ecommerce category descriptions on rankings, from completely hiding descriptions to shortening them. He also ends the article with some tips to build a logical process for implementing changes across your category pages. Great stuff! ๐
Until next week!
