An interesting post by Olivia Wiltshire on why you don't always need big link numbers to win big. I particularly like Builtvisible's 'opportunity sizing' approach which highlights 'link needy' pages and determines the best link building strategy.
I'm not usually a fan of trends posts, but this one by Suganthan is different. First off, I agree with all of the points (which is rare) and secondly it's mega comprehensive. He concludes nearly every section with 'But what does this mean for SEOs?' which makes every point practical for SEOs.
